Our People

The partners you’ll actually work with.

No account managers, no anonymous teams. The lawyer who hears your matter is the one who handles it — and the one you can call when it counts.

01

Rachel Tan

Managing Partner · Corporate & M&A

Rachel co-founded the firm in 2009 and leads its corporate and transactional work. Founders come to her for the same reason investors trust her: she is fast, commercial, and impossible to rattle.

Over two decades she has guided companies through incorporation, fundraising and exit — from seed-stage SaaS businesses to family enterprises preparing for succession. She read law at the National University of Singapore and trained at a leading regional practice before deciding that the clients she most wanted to serve needed a different kind of firm. She is an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore and a member of the Law Society and the Singapore Academy of Law.

Imran Wahab

Partner · Dispute Resolution & Litigation

Imran leads the firm’s disputes practice. He is the counsel clients want in the room when a deal turns into a disagreement — measured, precise, and relentless on the points that matter.

He acts in commercial litigation before the Singapore courts and in arbitration under the SIAC Rules, with particular depth in shareholder disputes, contractual claims and urgent injunctive relief. Clients value his habit of mapping the commercial endgame before the first letter goes out. Imran co-founded the firm with Rachel in 2009, sits on the SIAC panel, and is an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.

Cheryl Lim

Partner · Employment & Commercial

Cheryl advises employers on the full life of the employment relationship — and on the commercial contracts that hold a growing business together.

From scaling a startup’s first hiring framework to managing a sensitive executive exit, she is known for advice that is both legally sound and genuinely usable by the people who have to apply it. She handles restraint of trade, restructuring, and Employment Act and MOM compliance, alongside a busy commercial contracts practice. Cheryl joined Tan & Wahab as a partner in 2015 and is an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.

Daniel Koh

Senior Associate · IP & Technology

Daniel leads the firm’s intellectual property and technology work, helping modern businesses own and protect the assets they actually run on.

He advises on trade mark strategy and registration, IP assignments and licensing, SaaS and technology agreements, and PDPA compliance. With a background in software before the law, he is fluent in the commercial realities of technology businesses and a favourite among the firm’s founder clients. Daniel holds a law degree from the Singapore Management University and is an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
